St. Camillus Nursing Centre is a Catholic, not-for-profit facility, following in the spirit of St. Camillus de Lellis (1550-1614) who founded the Order of St. Camillus in 1591. They aim to provide a high standard of care to people regardless of their cultural background or beliefs.

The Order of St. Camillus has been providing care for people in the local area since 1935 and at the Nursing Centre since 1975.

They aim to create a caring, safe and supportive environment in which their residents can feel secure and their needs met.

However, the Order acknowledge that a Nursing Home can never totally replace a personís own home. Nursing Care is tailored to the needs of the individual resident.

The level of nursing care is dependent on the individualís dependency level. They aim to provide complete, holistic nursing care.

They may need to be accompanied by a relative or a member of staff to ensure their safety. They respect the rights and dignity of the individual to be cared for in a discreet and appropriate way.

St. Camillus Nursing Centre maintain their residentís dignity during care-giving. If a resident feels uncomfortable with any aspect of their care or the person giving the care please let them know so that they can change the manner in which care is offered.
